1. Who we are
THE SYSTEM ("we", "us") operates thesystem.site, a habit and quest tracking web application themed around Korean manhwa RPG mechanics.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address (required), display name, username, optional avatar URL, chosen class.
- Game data: your quests, habits, completion logs, stats, level, EXP, titles unlocked, guild membership.
- Subscription data: if you upgrade, our payment processor (Polar.sh) handles your card details. We only store the customer ID and tier.
- Operational logs: standard server logs (IP, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use it
To run your account, save your progress, sync across devices, deliver subscription benefits, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
4. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie/local storage entry to keep you signed in, and remember your cookie consent. Optional analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept all".
5. Your rights
You can export, correct or delete your account data at any time by emailing privacy@thesystem.site. We respond within 30 days.
6. Data location
Your account data is stored on managed Postgres infrastructure. Backups are encrypted at rest.
7. Changes
If we update this policy materially, we'll notify you via in-app system alert and email.
